ERC Starting Grant 2021 awarded to Geert Mesters
The European Research Council (ERC) has awarded a Starting Grant to our colleague Geert Mesters. In his ERC project, Geert will conduct research on Econometrics for Macroeconomic Policy Evaluation.

My research focuses on high-dimensional inference, Bayesian methods, and complex data modeling. I have a strong interest in model selection, graphical and factor models, and scalable algorithms with frequentist validity.
